Access Keys
Access keys are keyboard shortcuts that give keyboard or screen-reader users quick and easy access to the most important parts of a website.

Internet Explorer
Hold down the 'Alt' key, press the access key, release both keys then press 'Enter'. -
Firefox — PC
Hold down the 'Alt' key and press 'Shift', then press the access key. -
Firefox — Mac
Hold down the 'Ctrl' key and press the access key. -
Safari — Mac
Hold down the 'Ctrl' key and press the 'Option' key, then press the access key. -
Opera
Hold down the 'Shift' key and press 'Escape', release both keys, then press the access key.

Moving round a web page using the keyboard
Internet Explorer, Firefox
Pressing the 'Tab' key while on a web page will select the next link on the page. You can press 'Tab' repeatedly to get to the chosen link. The selected link is indicated by a dotted border around the link.
Once your chosen link is selected, you can trigger it by pressing the 'Enter' key on your keyboard. You can move backwards through links by pressing 'Shift' + 'Tab' together.
Safari — Mac
If you want to highlight links in webpages using the 'Tab' key, choose Preferences from the Safari menu, then click Advanced. Select the option to highlight each item on the web page using the 'Tab' key.
Opera
Press 'a' to select the next link in the page and press 'q' to select the previous link in the page.
Once your chosen link is selected, you can trigger it by pressing the 'Enter' key on your keyboard.
