"The silly grin was still on my face long after the lights went up after this infectiously funny performance of The Elves and the Shoemakers."

Primary Voices — Quicksilver Theatre
"I was also struck by the astonishingly varied and versatile talents of the six young adult actors who brought the plays to life."
"The performance of these 20 short plays took over three hours and must have been as gruelling as King Lear, if not more so given the number of role and mood changes."
Rabbit & Hedgehog — York Theatre Royal
"Chèryl "Tigger" Blaize's restless Rabbit bounds on stage first, upright and twitching, bouncing up and down the steps on Sophie Phillips's picture-book set of a tree with a burrow entrance and, off to the side, Hedgehog's bramble-patch sleeping quarters."
"Rabbit at first wears a hood with big ears to scratch, but once we acclimatise to Blaize's facial mannerisms, the hood is pulled back, and we see Blaize's full head, choirboy haircut and all."

Alice — Trading Faces
"Alice was wonderful in every way! The show was clever, moving, funny, skillfully put together, beautiful to look at and performed with an energy that put the audience in the palms of the performers' hands. Tweedledum and Tweedledee were terrifically funny and full of pathos and the tea party was 10 minutes of mad delight."
The Night Before Christmas — Big Wooden Horse
"While all the cast perform admirably, Chèryl Blaize as Eddie the Mouse rates as the show’s main triumph. Her skills match all the necessary requirements one might look for in a family-show performer such as an immaculate vocal clarity and striking agility. The latter allows her to carry out what can only be described as Olympic standard back flips."

The Night Before Christmas — Big Wooden Horse
"Blaize's beleaguered mouse is cheerful, funny and a charismatically acrobatic dancer."

Little Victories — Quicksilver Theatre
"This is a wonderfully gentle and intelligently produced piece of theatre which explores the friendship between two children: Tony, who is having to cope with the turmoil of a new stepfather and the impending arrival of his mum's new baby, and Josie, who is suffering from cancer. Except that she is not "suffering" in the accepted sense of the word. Josie — a beautifully drawn character, portrayed with breathtaking skill and emotional depth by Chèryl Blaize — proves to be an inspirational friend whose love of life and common sense changes Tony's life for the better and enables him to see a way ahead at a time when his life and circumstances are throwing his emotions into turmoil."
